1. Introduction and Data Controller

1.1 Hashtory ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Hashtory platform ("Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use the Platform.

1.2 We are committed to processing your personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

1.3 The Platform is not directed to persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

1.4 By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Platform.

2. What Personal Data We Collect and How

2.1 We collect personal data directly from you when you create an account on the Platform, including your email address, name (if provided), and payment information processed through Stripe.

2.2 We also collect technical data automatically when you use the Platform, including your IP address, device information, browser type, and usage data (e.g., queries submitted, features used, timestamps).

2.3 If you use dashboard features, we collect and store data you provide to operate those features: wallet addresses you save to your account, addresses you add to your watchlist, your lookup history, and the content of investigation cases you create (including descriptions and messages you write). Wallet addresses are public blockchain identifiers, but when you save one to your account we store the association between that address and your account.

2.4 We collect usage statistics about how you use the Platform, such as which features you use and how often. We use this data to operate, improve, and understand usage of the Platform. Usage statistics may be aggregated across users; aggregated statistics do not identify you.

2.5 We do not collect, store, or have access to any private keys, wallet credentials, or seed phrases. If you connect a wallet, the only information shared with Hashtory is your public wallet address. Hashtory never asks you to sign a transaction or message. All blockchain data we access is publicly available on-chain.
